Is it Spring yet ? | A quand le printemps ?

Well apparently we have messed with Mother Nature a bit too much... it's already end of March and we're still wearing our winter coat, scarf, and gloves ... is it just me or is there something wrong ? Yesterday, blue sky & sunshine were back and for a while I thought : Oh Hello Spring, is that you ? That was before I woke up this morning with a nice -1°c. Let's not delude ourselves... Spring is not there yet and Mister winter seems reluctant to leave some space... so selfish -sigh-
All these messed up seasons really got me thinking about what we're doing to our planet, and whatever it is that we are doing or not doing, we better get a wriggle on if we don't want to get snow in July folks !

Bon, il en fallait peu pour réveiller la Miss Météo en moi. Sérieux, l'hiver se fait long là non ? On est fin mars et on porte toujours la doudoune, l'écharpe et les gants... c'est juste moi ou y'a un truc qui tourne pas rond ?? 

Hier, le doux espoir de voir enfin le printemps se faisait sentir avec un beau ciel bleu et même du soleil ! Ce n'est que ce matin, lorsque mon iPhone me prédisait -1°c à la sortie de mon lit que je me suis dis que tout cela n'était qu'un leurre et que Mister winter n'est pas près de plier bagage... le relou.

Plus sérieusement, ça m'a tout de même fait réfléchir sur le fait qu'on a quand même dû bien déconner avec mère nature pour en arriver là... si on ne veut pas de neige en juillet, va falloir se bouger les copains! ou le réchauffement (enfin là c'est plutôt le refroidissement) climatique aura notre peau.

Paris Elopement | Sneak Peak

What an adventure for Melani & Danny from Jakarta who chose Paris for their Elopement. We had
to brave the crazy "Spring" weather of this year : hail, rain, freezing temperature. To add a little bit of fun, fate decided we should have a beautiful vintage car which will stall each time we'd stop! So the groom, myself and whoever will cross the street and willing to help would push the car to restart it !Despite all this beautiful mess, we managed to have an amazing rainbow and two wonderful "I do". Quelle aventure pour le premier mariage de la saison !  Melani et Danny de Djakarta ont choisi Paris pour se dire oui. Il a fallu affronter ce temps maudi mi-hiver mi-printemps, pire que du mi-figue mi-raisin avec la grêle, la pluie, et des températures pas très sympas surtout pour la mariée... Et parce que plus on est de fous, plus on rit (ou pas), on a eu droit à une Citroën traction qui ne redémarrait plus à chaque fois qu'elle s'arrêtait plus de 5 min. Alors le marié et moi-même avons retroussé nos manches et alpagué les passants de bonne volonté qui voulaient bien nous aider à pousser !
Voilà, malgré toutes ces mésanventures, on a tout de même eu un bel Arc-en-Ciel et deux "oui" :)

Emma & Louis | Wedding at Shangri-La Paris

This was the second time for me at the magnificent Shangri-La Paris, and boy this place never ceases to amaze me. It is gorgeous.
Emma and Louis chose to say "I do" in the city of love as this is where they got engaged. They exchanged their vows in the beautiful Salon de Famille. It was a beautiful and intimate wedding with their close friends and family. I was lucky to be part of this beautiful event. Special thanks to Ian Holmes whom I assist shooting on this wedding.

C'était la deuxième fois que je mettais les pieds dans ce magnifique lieu qu'est le Shangri-La Paris, et tout comme la première fois, j'ai été éblouie par la beauté de cet hôtel.
Emma et Louis, de Londres, ont choisi la Capitale de l'amour pour célébrer leur union car c'est là où Louis a fait sa demande à Emma. C'est pas mignon tout ça ? :) ... Ils se sont dit oui dans le splendide Salon de Famille suivi d'un dîner intime avec leurs amis proches et familles. C'était vraiment un beau mariage, tout en douceur et romantisme à l'image du couple. Un grand merci à Ian Holmes qui m'a permis de l'assister pour ce beau mariage.

Very cute idea. Enclosing the bride's and groom's vows in a box with a bottle of wine that they will open only in 5 year time or if they are facing some downs to remind them about their love and the vows their shared. / Une très jolie idée du pasteur : cacheter les voeux des mariés dans une boîte avec une belle bouteille de vin qu'ils n'ouvriront que dans 5 ans ou en période de difficultés pour se rappeler de leur amour et des voeux échangés lors de leur mariage.

Shangri-La Paris also offers the most amazing fine food, it has three restaurants, each one of them being a delight to the palate. See those red lollipops, they're actually Foie Gras coated with red wine, amazing huh ? / Le Shangri-La Paris offre également l'une des cuisines les plus raffinés de Paris, il possède trois restaurants, chacun d'entre eux étant une expérience inoubliable pour votre palais. Vous voyez ces petites sucettes rouges, ce sont des bouchées de Foie Gras glacées au vin rouge et touche de feuille d'or, tentant nan ? :)

A BRAND NEW YEAR

Voilà, 2012 is over, it has passed as quickly as a blink of an eye, didn't have time to process anything apart from the fact that we have survived the End of the World and that's already something !
My resolutions for 2013 : KEEP CALM AND SNAP ON

Voilà, 2012 c'est fini, c'est passé à toute vitesse, on n'a rien compris mais on a survécu à la fin du monde et c'est déjà pas mal !
