Follow your Light

My story doesn't start with "I've always had a camera in my hand ever since I was five". I grew up in a traditional Chinese family, where getting a "real job" meant becoming a doctor, a banker or a lawyer... But I was born in Paris, city of art and to the great despair of my parents, I was also born an artist. I always had a soft spot for anything creative, finding beauty in little details and trying to capture it. But like many of us, I listen to my parents first, ignored my inner calling and got into a Business School. Meanwhile, I've discovered photography with which I fell in love, but I still believed that being a photographer couldn't be a "real job" and tried to tame my inner light again. After 8 years into the corporate world, my inner light continued to shine so bright I couldn't ignore it. So I quit my day job and became what my soul was calling me to be from the day I was born : a photographer. 

My Philosophy

I just want to start by saying this : Life is too short. This is probably the statement that drives my work and my life in general. I want to offer  you the priceless gift of reliving the emotions you've experienced in those precious and fleeting moments of your  life, by flipping through your photos. Not only you, but also your children and your grand children and your great grand children. I want to create heirloom for you to treasure the rest of your life and pass on from generations to generations because your life is beautiful and is unique and your story needs to be told. If I was good with brushes, I would paint your story, if I was creative with words, I would write a poem about your story, if I was talented with music I would sing about your story, but I believe that my calling was to immortalize your story through my lens.

Your Love inspires me

I am a hopeless romantic, love stories are an infinite source of inspiration to me. They make me shine my light by creating simple, luminous and dreamy images. I want  to capture your "I do", the smiles on your friends' face, the tears in your parents' eyes. I want to reveal your light, your beauty, your love for him or her, your love for the little bundle of joy you're carrying in your belly. 

I want to create art out of your life and make it timeless.  That's one of the reasons why I chose to shoot in film.

Wherever you live on this planet, I'd be more than honored to come over to capture your love through my lens.
